Welcome to the Grindhouse, Disc 1
Pickup - ????

Flashbacks are confusing. So, what actually is the point here? I can't get a handle of what we are supposed to be feeling. The 70's porn music is throwing me off too. It also doesn't help that the dialogue is almost unintelligible. They mutter WAY too much, especially the girls.

And WTF is up with the ending? I don't get it AT ALL! It's okay to watch, (especially all the nice natural boobage) but you're gonna have to treat it like a David Lynch flick. Don't look for sense.

Welcome to the Grindhouse, Disc 2
The Teacher - 1974

Hey, it's Angel Tompkins , (from Alligator and Amazon Women on the Moon). This is a pretty standard exploitation flick. Saw the ending about three miles away. Nice boobage, though.

The Grindhouse Experience
Black Candles - 1980 Spain

Holy crap, bestiality! You don't see THAT very often. Who'd have thought Netflix would send me a movie where a women has sex with a goat for Satan in front of a bunch of other folks?

Basically, is is softcore for Satan. Gotta admit I wasn't expecting that. I love it when a movie surprises me. Too bad the ending was so crappy.

Welcome to the Grindhouse
Evil Eye - 1987 Italy

Ahhh, it's a Giallo. But, it does at least feature something else you don't see everyday. A guy barfing frogs. And once again, there's a terrible ending. WTF? Did they run out of film?

Aquarium - 2002/4

Shot in 8 days, per IMDB, short (67 minutes), simple, suspenseful, tight and terse. But yet again, WTF is up with the ending. Is this the week for that?

Other extras include Making of documentary, which was short and pointless. Sure wish they'd explain the movie a little. There are also a pair of shorts. The first is Emergency Stop, which was pretty clever, actually. The second is call Shit, and is hysterical. If you rent this, be SURE to watch it.

Saw IV - 2007

You know, usually by the 4th of a series, they are getting pretty crappy. See Friday the 13ths and Halloweens. This has proven to be an exception, as this one is really good. May be the second best in the series. Excellent gore, great use of flashback to keep jigsaw in the game. Very cool. I am impressed.

Extras include Darren's Video Diary. First off, it's irritating that they are blurring his t-shirt. Second, I don't think I'd want to work for this guy. It doesn't look like any fun, he seems like an ass, and they do 21 hour days. There is also an extra documenting the traps of Saw IV. This was very good, with lots of excellent details. There's also one on the props of Saw IV. Fewer its, but still good. Deleted scenes, none missed.

Trailer Trash, Disc 1

Collection of trailers from Camp Motion Pictures (the folks who gave us the fun Video Violence), of which I own 4 of the 9 movies shown, Retro Shock-O-Rama (I have 6 out of 7, and the one I'm missing isn't even out yet), Shock-O-Rama (only 6 out of 16), and Bloody Earth Film (which I've never heard of, and Netflix doesn't have any of the 3 movies shown).

Disc 2 is mostly sexploitation, whereas disc 1 was just exploitation. This disc has trailers from Secret Key Motion Pictures (only 1 out of 10, but it's mostly lez stuff), Seduction Cinema Erotics Vault, Seduction Cinema Spoofs, and Retro-Seduction Cinema. More Misty Mundae than you can shake a stick at.

These were kind of a disappointment. I was really hoping for more variety. And older stuff. Most of this is newer stuff. Don't bother renting this one. You've either already seen them all, or don't care.
