If you think I’m gonna watch all 50 of these movies, you are insane. I’d like to see something from Netflix this month. :-> So I’m gonna skip anything I’ve seen recently or is outside my genre range (ie, no dramas or comedies, etc).

I am recovering from surgery, and so no watching as many as I’d (and you’d) like. Sleep is more important.
Skipping Devil With Seven Faces – 1971
After watching the first 10 minutes, and discovering that it’s an Italian Cop drama, not horror. I learn to read their description in IMDB first.
Skipping Twister’s Revenge! – 1987
It’s a monster truck movie (in a word, Yack!)
Skipping Day of the Panther – 1988
Another non-horror/exploitation – Australian actioner.
Creeper – 1977
Hal Holbrook! Five doctors, who apparently barely tolerate each other, go on a camping trip. This has to be one of the worst transfers EVER. Obviously from a VHS tape, and not even an attempt to clean it up. I can’t see anything half the time. I have no idea what is going on. In the end, I have no idea:
- Who the killer is
- Why he/she is doing it
- WTF

Feeling better toady. Watching a couple more.
Count Dracula & His Vampire Bride – 1974
This is a terrible transfer of Satanic Rites of Dracula. I haven’t seen that in awhile, so I watched it anyway.
Skipping Country Blue – 1973
Drama, no thanx
Skipping Going Steady – 1979
An Isreali comedy? Nyet!
Skipping Mad Dog – 1977
Italian Crime drama, aka Beast with a Gun
Skipping I Wonder Who’s Killing Her Now? – 1975
Great title, but a PG Comedy? I don’t think so.
Skipping Savage Weekend – 1979
I started this anti-hillbilly movie, but I hated every single soul in the thing, and gave up after less than 30 minutes. I don’t feel well enough to put up with this kind of shit.
Skipping Black Hooker – 1974
Aka Street Sisters. Another great title, but I’m in a hospital, and I’m thinking Blaxpoitation might be misconstrued. Many I’ll go back and watch it later.
Skipping Jive Turkey – 1974
Aka Baby Needs a New Pair of Shoes. See above
Skipping Absolution – 1978
Richard Burton as a priest. I’ve seen Exorcist II, so I’ll pass.
Skipping Breakout from Oppression – 1978
Another HK actioner with a female lead. Still just not what I’m looking for.
Creepers – 1984
Aka Phenomena, by Dario Argento, and starring Jennifer Connelly! I have seen this long ago, but this is EXACTLY what I want to watch. I can’t remember all the details, so this is great. It’s a terrible transfer, I’m glad I’ve got Anchor Bay DVD. I love the whole concept of this movie. And of course, since it’s directed by Dario, it’s beautifully shot.
Don’t Open Til Christmas – 1984
Very nice – lousy transfer, but a good flick I’ve never seen before. A psycho is killing folks in Santa suits. I have three more “dark” Christmas movies waiting at home.

Horror of the Zombies – 1974
Aka The Blind Dead 3. Dumbest concept for a zombie movie ever! The Templars don’t seem very tough in this one. I suspect it’s cut, because it’s pretty tame.
Skipping Snowbeast – 1977 TV Movie
I’ve seen this one from several other collections. I feel pretty good, but not good enough to sit through this steaming pile of TV poop again.
Mama Dracula – 1980
I’m assuming this is supposed to be a comedy. Not that it’s funny or anything. But there was a boobage bonanza! Problem is, when you’re recovering from surgery, I don’t feel the need to see titties. And this is absolutely the most unfunny comedy EVER.
The Murder Mansion – 1972
.I saw this one about a year ago in a double set, but kept watching trying to remember plot points. It’s not very good, so I couldn’t. If you want to read an “old style” review, take a look back in December 28, 2005 for my write up.

Well, I’m home from the hospital. Recoping, I can watch a lot of movies, in between naps.
Trauma – 1978
Aka Virgin Killer, from Italy. More Italian nonsense, but again, plenty of nice boobage to make up for crappy video and audio.
Unsane – 1984
Aka Tenebrae. Another Dario Argento, starring John Saxon. Another movie that I have a DVD of, and very glad, as this VHS transfer does NOT do this movie justice. This is obviously from an Italian VHS (all the credits are in Italian). Only the dialogue is in english. This may be slightly cut, but still, this and Phenomena are classics.
Vengeance of the Zombies – 1973
This was one of the first used VHS tapes I bought that started me on the road that led to my collection of bad movie DVDs. (for those of you who haven’t noticed the link elsewhere on this blog, you can view my ever growing collection at:
http://www.intervocative.com/dvdcollection.aspx/DirkMaster
Voodoo Black Exorcist – 1973
Convenient how the Mummy turns back into a young man. That sure saves a lot in special effects. Oooops, spoke too soon. He changed back as inexplicably as the initial transformation. Okay, this is the 3rd change – why?
And what does any of this have to do with Exorcism? Guess they ran out of money, as the movie just sort of ends all of a sudden. Dialogue actually worse than the Italian movies.

Skipping In Hot Pursuit – 1977
Aka Polk County Pot Plane. A car chase movie. No thanx
Shock – 1946 (B/W)
Vincent Price, younger than I’ve ever seen him before. Featuring a dream that may very well be the most realistic representation of a dream I’ve ever seen. It’s just like my dreams. Audio’s a little muddy, but the transfer’s better than many. Ehhh, Vincent swings a mean candlestick. And boy, she has gone off the deep end.
Interesting camera work. Sort of a Noir-thing.
Skipping Katie’s Passion – 1975
Aka Keetje Tippel. Drama about an impoverished family. I’ll pass thank you very much.
Invasion of the Bee Girls – 1973
Aka Graveyard Tramps. This is the movie that made me put this box set into my Amazon Wishlist in the first place. Soft focus, but a better transfer than some. This has all the unfollowableness of an Italian horror movie.
Skipping Werewolf vs Vampire Women – 1971
Seen several times on various collections. This is a Paul Naschy flick. Good if you haven’t seen it.
Spare Parts – 1979
Made for TV movie? With tit in it? What TV? Showtime? Ahhh, West German TV. With the LONGEST ending EVER. God, I thought it would NEVER end.

Death by Dialogue – 1988
Audio is absolutely awful. So muddy, I cannot understand normal conversational tones. Consequently, I have no idea what some important plot points are. There were huge pieces of dialogue that I have no idea what they said, so I missed out.
Ahhh, nice boobage. That helps. And you know it’s a dream when a Formula One car drives up beside a lake. More nice boobage!
Music is the most horrific part of the whole damn thing!
Legacy of Blood – 1971
Wow! Even thru the crappy transfer and bad audio, I can tell that this was shot crappily. Director Carl Monson, who also gave us Booby trap, The Takers, A Scream in the Streets, and Sexpot Swingers (aka Please Don’t Eat My Mother) – all released from SWV. He also wrote The Acid Eaters.
Acting is Abysmal, Sound is awful, SFX are cheap and obvious. There is not a single thing to recommend it. Watch at your own risk (which, if you’re like me, that kind of waring means you just put it on your wish list).

Skipping The Manipulators – 1971
Mickey Rouney flips out – pass
Skipping Throw Out the Anchor – 1974
Not another 70’s comedy – nope!
Skipping Night Train to Terror – 1985
“Everybody’s got something to do, everybody but you!” – just re-seen it recently, still recovering – skip if you value your sanity
Skipping The Guy From Harlem – 1977
Blaxploitation drama, just not interested
Skipping Don’t Look in the Basement – 1973
Just re-saw recently, uh uh. Disc said that Cockfighter – but on disc is BLitB.
Prisoner of the Lost Universe – 1984
Richard Hatch (remember him?) and John Saxon. Big music, and the director who gave us Hawk the Slayer. Wow, is this a hurter. If I was in this, I’d buy all the copies in a attempt to bury it forever..
Skipping Rattlers – 1976
Just saw the SWV print this summer or fall.
Skipping Savage Journey – 1983 TV movie
History of Mormonism? NOT!!!
Skipping The Island Monster – 1954
Karloff in a Crime Drama? Pass
Skipping Beast of Haunted Cave – 1959
Early Corman classic – seen several times
Skipping Firing Line – 1991
Actioner, don’t care.
Treasure of Tayopa – 1974
Gringo’s vs a pissed off Mexican. Treasure hunters led by a woman? Sure! Any movie that starts off with a cockfight is gonna be tasteless.
Reminds me a lot of Red Zone Cuba. Same kind of crappy B/W photography. I have no idea why I’m watdching this hurter. It sucks ass!
The dialogue at the end tries to tie this movie to the treasure of Seirra Madre. It’s not even from the same planet. I mean, this is really craptastic!
