The Aristocrats (2005)
Just a word of warning for anyone thinking about watching this movie. Do NOT watch this movie if you are EVER offended by obscene speech. I’m not saying EASILY offended, I mean EVER offended. If it’s possible for you to be offended by talk, this movie will do it. That’s its point.
But if you are a part of the revolution to take back our ability to say what we think/feel without being restricted by “political correctness”, and if you think that everyone needs to have thicker skin and be less easily offended, then this is your movie. I thought it was both hysterical and informative. It’s interesting to hear comedians talk about their trade as a craft. And it’s interesting to see how the different comedians twist the joke to fit their own style. And some of the comedians are hysterical. Who would have thought that Bob Saget can be so disgusting. It almost makes up for Full House. Almost, not quite.
There are a ton of extras on this disc. Extra jokes by the comedians, fuller versions of discussions, and some behind the scenes things. There are no subtitles, which is a pity. And although the speech is filthy, there’s no nudity (not that it would really fit anyway).
Four out of five beers.
Don’t let your kids get ahold of this disc!
