Wind & Cloud: The Storm Riders - 2002
Absolutely beautiful, awesome action, cool CGI, but absolutely incomprehensible. Even with subtitles, I had NO idea what was going on about half the time. It seemed like the heroes kept bouncing back and forth between good and evil.
Rather like a Hyper-Chinese Power Rangers, without the suits. Alas, no extras at all.
Black Sheep - 2006
Special Effects by Weta, the folks founded by Peter Jackson who did the SFX for LOTR and King Kong.
Gotta love that New Zealand gore. Shades of Bad Taste and Dead Alive. Same kind of sick humor. Sort of a American Weresheep in New Zealand.
Commentary with writer/director Jonathan King and Nathan Meister. Hey, Glenis Levestam was in Brain Damage! That's cool. Nice general discussion. Not very technical. In fact, the director acts like he doesn't want to reveal how some things were done.
Other extras include a subtitled making of, which was mostly interviews with cast and crew that lasted 30 minutes. Much more technical than the commentary. Also some deleted scenes, with commentary.
This was a fun disc, if the gore doesn't bother you.

Pervert! - 2005
Well, it's supposed to be a comedy. But not the kind where you laugh, I guess. I mean, its amusing, but not funny, if you know what I mean. But BOY, is there a TON of boobage! That's good, cause it's been dry recently.
Yeah gotta love a movie that's basically Attack of the Killer Penis! I bet this would be funnier if I was about 30 years younger. I don't think I'm the target audience.
Commentary #1 with director Jonathan Yudis and writer Mike Davis. Shot in two weeks with 2 days pickups. Lots of Russ Meyer homages! And I'm impressed that these guys know so much about Bollywood.
Commentary #2 has director and cast & crew. More fun, pretty silly really.
Other extras include Into the Chasm of the Hyper Vixens - making of, where we learn more about the making of than in the Commentary. Made for $50K. And it's 30 minutes long. Lots of info here. Deleted scenes, most are just longer versions of what's in the movie. An extended Lesbian Scene. NICE! And bloopers, which were too short, but funny.

Transformers - 2007
Okay, I'm now officially sorry I didn't see this at the theaters. I have to admit, it's tough to be critical with this much action and gorgeous CGI. I'm sure there were flaws, but damned if I noticed 'em while watching. Awesome!
Other Extras include Rise of the Autobots (music video). No other extras, no subs, no commentaries, nothing. Rotten disc, great movie.
Film Crew: Giant of Marathon - 1959
Wow, the cinematographer of this was Mario Bava. Interestingly, it was Bava's jumping in and saving this movie that earned him his opportunity to direct Black Sunday.
Very, very good, if you like MST3K, you can imagine what the boys do to a sword and scandal flick. Plenty of beefcake references.
Other extras included a skit that was Apologies for comments made during the silly hat skit. Hilarious. Commentary by an extra (as voiced by Mike). Kinda lame, actually.
A good time was had by all.

Deadwood Park - 2007
Atmospheric, some might say slow, but it's building tension and atmosphere. There are some gorgeous shots in this independent flick. A good score too. Very very nice. THIS is what independent cinema is all about. This is SOOOOO much better than Savage Harvest II.
Commentary by Eric Stanze (writer, director, cinematographer). Pretty technical. This guy sure has matured since Scrapbook (although that was a great movie too, but in a completely different way). Talks about extras that don't exist on disc. Second commentary, making of. What's up with that? The only other extra on this disc was outtakes.

Masters of Horror: Stuart Gordon - The Black Cat - 2007
Jeffrey Combs!!!! Wow, he really looks like Poe! Nice, washed out look, makes it seem old. Very cool. And it's great to see Combs as the main actor. He is SOOO good.
Commentary has director Stuart Gordon and actor Jeffrey Combs. Big discussion on the history of Poe. Not very technical. Without saying it, you can tell that JC and SG are good friends.
Other extras - The Tell-Tale Cat: Making of. an hour and a half, & he REALLY looks like Poe. Bringing Down the Aex - SFx featurette.

Drawn Together, Season Two - 2005
If you have ever been offended in your entire life, don't watch this. On the other hand, if you can't be offended, this is the BEST CARTOON EVER! Guess which camp my fire's in?
Other extras on Disc 1: Cast & crew interviews. Very interesting. I'm surprised that they go from Script, Radio Play, animatic, then Korea animates it.
Only extra on disc 2 is the same. Interviews with the rest of the voice talent.
These are hysterical, obscene, Oh So Wrong! I can't wait for Season Three.

Blind Beast vs Killer Dwarf - 2001
Shot on video, this is the last project by famous Japanese director Teruo Ishii (the man who gave us the recently seen Horror of a Deformed Man). I just barely followed this. There's plenty of bare breasts, so its a pleasant view. Unless I'm mistaken, there never was s scene with both the title characters in it, so I'm unsure about the "vs" part. Ooops, never mind. The cop explains it in the conclusion. The "rivalry" is a little thin, since I never detected it.
The extra is a Behind the scenes, which was VERY interesting. The Japanese sure have a different culture than us. But that much respect sure can't hurt.
