Disc 9, con't.
Man In The Attic - 1953

Hey, it's Aunt Bee! (Frances Bavier). And Jack Palance! Wow, and it features two musical numbers. And a very unsatisfying ending. But at least I've never seen it before.

The Demon - 1979

More Cameron Mitchell, this time in a movie from South Africa. Slow, with seemingly multiple unrelated plots. In the end, it's some sort of Michael Meyers rip off. The mask keeps disappearing and reappearing. I should have made that a drinking game. Finally, it ends with one of the stupidest endings ever!

Disc 10
Crypt of the Living Dead - 1973

Hard to believe that a movie made in 1973 is in B/W. Audio is like mud, can barely understand what's being said. This sure looks familiar. Ahhhh, I have this as Hannah: Queen of the Vampires.

Track of the Moon Beast - 1976

Seen WAY too many times. As a word of warning, this is for fans of truly bad only. Watch the MST3K version, if at all.

The Ghost - 1963

I've got this on 2 different sets

Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter - 1966

Directed by William "one shot" Beaudine! LOL! The helmet that's on the "monster"'s head is hysterical. And Hey, it's Jock Ewing (Jim Davis ). Truly painful.

Disc 11
Dr. Tar's Torture Dungeon - 1972

aka Mansion of Madness. See it recently.

The Bloody Brood - 1959

Saw it, really hated it.

House of the Dead - 1978

aka Alien Zone. Ahhh, a Horror anthology. Classic! But not sure where the Alien Zone part came in. This is a goodie.

Slashed Dreams - 1975

You'll wish you slashed your wrists rather than watch this boring, insipid movie. One hour in, and finally the one, single bad thing happens. And then there's another 20 more minutes of absolute nothing. This may have been the most boring movie I've ever watched. Yikes!

Disc 12
A Bucket of Blood - 1959

Every PD collection has this movie.

Horrors of Spider Island - 1962

Just saw the MST3K version last month.

Legend of Big Foot - 1976

Saw in the Drive-In Classics (last 50 movie set I went thru).

The Devil's Hand - 1962

Again?

I Bury the Living - 1958

Good, but I've seen recently enough that I remember it.

Drive-In Massacre - 1974

Just saw in Gore & More.

Well, the last disc was a bust, but overall, this a great way to see a lot of movies for cheap.

Heroes, Season One

I'm not going to go episode by episode here. Sufficient it to say that this is extraordinary television. Absolutely awesome. Yeah, I know, I'm like the last guy on board here. Since I only watch DVDs and no TV, I'm late to the game. Still, this is excellent. How excellent. I don't remember the last time that a show made me stand up.

Literally.

This seven disc set has got a lot of extras. Many commentaries, almost every episode has some deleted scenes, and an unaired pilot where you can see some things that the network made them change. Yeah, good movie leaving the terrorists out. Disc seven also has a "way too short" Making of.

I'm so glad Season Two has already started. I sure hope they don't ruin this.
