Johnny Legend's Deadly Doubles Vol. 6
Suburbia Confidential - 1966

Directed by A. C. Stephens (real name Stephen C. Apostolof ) a great creator of sexploitation and other crapware in the 60's. I mean, this is the guy who gave us the Ed Wood scripted classic Orgy of the Vampires, better known as Orgy of the Dead. So you know that this is gonna be quality entertainment. And indeed it is. Nice, bug naturals. And this movie takes us back to the era when people had sex thru their boxer shorts and granny undies. And no touching the boobies! Too funny. I could do without the 10 minutes of a transvestite dressing, however.

Office Love-In - 1968

More of the same. Nice looking natural women in unnatural situations. Never fully nude, and another woman and a TV scene. What is this? Evidently A.C. was into TVs. There's a lez secene that's pretty hot, however. And here's a good one. Tow couple sit down to watch a "stag film". Hey, that's great! For a stag picture, they're watching Suburbia Confidential. LOL!

This disc also has some extras as well. Old B/W striptease loops and nudie loops. Always fun to watch what people thought was sexy.

Monster Squad - 1987

Many people have great memories of this movie, but this is the first time I've seen it. It's okay for what it is. A kid's 80's movie. It guess it's considered a classic. It's a little too cute for my taste. There were subs, which was appreciated, and two commentaries.

Commentary #1 features writer/director Fred Dekker & "Monster Squadders" Andre Gower , Ryan Lambert , & Ashley Bank. Some pretty funny interplay. But pretty empty of content.

Commentary #2 features Dekker again and DP/Cinematographer Bradford May. MUCH more technical, and actually pretty interesting. If you only listen to one, if you want fun, go #1. If you want to learn, go #2.

Strange Circus - 2005

WOW! Now THAT was sick! Those Japanese sure can come up with some disturbing stuff. And this movie is a serious WTF flick. This movie would give David Lynch a run for the money, except that it's WAY perverted. Be warned.

Other extras include Strange Days, a one hour 10 minute long making of. Here we learn that this movie was done by the guy who made Suicide Club. On the basis of those two movies alone, I'd say this guy (Sion Sono) is seriously disturbed.

Shaolin vs Evil Dead: Ultimate Power - 2006

I love this movie. It's got the guy who played Rikky-O! It's got amazing action, and the plot makes very little sense. But who needs plot when you've got hundreds of hopping Vampires!

Somehow, Blogger lost the rest of this entry, and I've already destroyed my notes, so the remainder of this week is lost. We will join our coverage of the 50 Chilling Classic box set next week, already in progress. Sorry.

Have you ever had the pleasure of watching Blood Diner (1987)? Just something to put on your too watch list. It's a truly bad movie.
