Red Dwarf, Season VII

I know, I know. This movie was only released today. So what happened to all those movies waiting to be watched. Didn't I say above that I always watch them in order? Yeah, I did, and I usually do. But some things are just too good to wait. And new seasons of Red Dwarf are one such thing. I'm a HUGE fan of RD. And I had to watch these before my hellspawn children got their little grubby hands on it. So I bumped it all the way to the front. Sue me.

Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! First, there are 8 episodes (which seems small, but some seasons only had 6!). Second, the quality of the picture and sound are outstanding. Subtitles are there (yeah!!). I haven't had the chance to watch any of the other extras, cause I had to watch all 8 episodes in one sitting. My spirits needed lifting.

If I have any complaints about this season, its that it goes a little dark occasionally. They never let the tone get too dark, but you can tell that writers wanted to expand to a little more serious fare. But thats about it. Outside of that one small thing (oh, and the new Kristine Kochanski, Chloë Annett, is not as hot as Clare Grogan. But that's me)
