Terror In The Crypt – 1964

Here is an American International Television release from RetroFlicks of a Spanish horror movie based on an 1872 novel entitled Camilla. And it features the great Christopher Lee, and he’s not a vampire. He’s not even the bad guy. Not too many of those around.

The plot and acting are a little uneven here. And some serious plot holes detract from what might otherwise be a nice little sleeper. But hey, it’s got Chris Lee, so it’s still better than a slap in the face.

MST3K Episode 104 – Women of the Prehistoric Planet

Rhino’s ninth box set of Mystery Science Theater 3000 shipped this week, and Netflix was there. I actually had this episode on VHS tape that I recorded off the Comedy Channel (yes, before they merged with HA! and became Comedy Central). This is not best episode. It is a good example of what the series was like in the early days. It’s much more intelligent, which can be good and bad. There will be more references that you will not get.

If you don’t already love the series, do not bother with this one. It’s not as strong as some later episodes. If you love it, every chance to see Joel and the bots is a good deal.
