Demon Hunter – 2005
Well, I’ve talked before about renting movies that by the time I get around to watching it, I cannot remember why I rented it. Usually, this works out okay, as even if I don’t remember the reason, the reason (which I can’t recall) was still valid, and I enjoy it.
Well, this is the exception that proves the rule. This dull, dull movie looks like it was made for cable. There’s too much nudity for Sci-Fi, but it has that vibe. Maybe it was show Skinemax.
Demons and angels walk the earth occasionally. And even mate with humans, creating half breed demons that are stronger than men. One such creature works for the Catholic church, and basically kills possessed people that they can’t exorcise. Or something like that. I don’t know for sure, as it didn’t hold my interest enough to pay attention.
There are no subtitles, but there is a commentary. Unfortunately, it’s a commentary by the writer and one of the short lived characters. It’s as dull as the movie. They keep apologizing, because they suddenly go silent and watch the movie. Dull.
There’s two additional extras on this disc. A fight scene practice and a making of. I wasn’t interested enough to watch them.
Two beers out of five (saved from a one by the nudity)
